Above Top: A small, unstable deck was torn down to make way for a new, larger, screened porch with grilling deck.
Above: New matching screened porch looks like it was built with the original home
Above Right: Customer wanted a floating bar table for their entertainment room which includes a game console, pool table, and arcade.
Right: After water damaged rotted the frame work to their french doors, the clients decided to replace them with new ones that included interior blinds and non-rotting PVC trim as well as to extend the deck stoop.

It is common for old bathrooms not to have vent fans or for vent fans to wear out and become noisy or simply become an eye soar. This new fan was vented out through the brick siding.

TREX and other composite decking has become popular for its easy care and low maintenance. This porch and small deck were redone after the wood decking and joists showed signs of degradation.
It seems the need for more space is a common desire. If you need a mother-in-law suite like this customer, or just extra living space, you can always convert a garage or finish all or part of a basement.
